Is it possible to withhold a mobile number when making a call or sending messages? I had a look at the faq and all i could see for withhold a number was to enter #31# before the number and send... but i get an error.

If this is possible, would someone be able to give me a list of withhold commands for each of the popular networks please?

Cheers

Hmm, im sure i replied to this earlier

Yes, thank you 141 also worked for me when calling someone, but what i really need to find out is whether it is possible to withhold my number when sending a text message. Or whether it is possible to set up a phone to permanently withhold numbers?

it's not possible to withhold you number for sending a text message. The majority of phones have the option to withhold you number as a menu feature but if the network who released the phone decided to remove the feature as part of their software varient you won't see the option.

I know that T-mobile UK remove this option from all their phones and you can control it by either putting 141 infront of the number or by having it blocked through customer services. However if it is blocked through customer services it is blocked for both incoming and outgoing and this also stops your WAP service from working as it depends on CLI to be activated.
