I live in a block of flats, and my garage is approx 75foot away, with a building in between.

I want to extend the wireless range to the garage. I cannot run Cat6 and cannot use homeplugs as the gaarge has an independant power supply (12V leisure battery / solar trickle charge). I can nearly get line of sight, most of the garage is blocked by another building. The flat probably 2 stories higher than the garage (due to 1st floor flat plus flat being on a hill)

Right now I use a 3G dongle I have for internet/spotify streaming (garage is my gym / turbo training "centre" with friends / workshop for bikes). Do extenders work well, or is it the case of trying to use a stronger aerial on the DIR-615?

I don't know the answer to your question, but don't forget wireless is two way, so if you have to boost one side, you'll have to boost the other too.

it's possible, but I'm guessing it could be fairly expensive. Yagi probably do the best directional wifi antennas, have a google and take a looksy at what's about
