WLM 8.5.1302 install issues

Just trying the latest WLM here. It won't install though. :(

I download the small installer which immediately tells me its an install over download kind of thing which I don't like. I've told it I only want Messenger yet it just does nothing at all. The green bar is processing but keeps doing this over and over again. Any ideas what is going on? Could the server be hammered and so I can't download Messenger?

Quite possibly.

Couldn't you just download the full installer then use A-Patch to disable the crud you don't want, need or use ;)
 
I would but it seems as if the installer that I have is the only installer. I think the WLM people have decided to make us download web installers that install WLM by downloading it and then installing it.
 
FileHippo. Some live.com site I just tried only had 8.1 for download.

Is that the 8.5.1302 version? Looks like 8.1.0178 that. It could be that FileHippo have released this early and the servers haven't got the software on?

Well I tried a couple of times again last night seemingly with no luck. Then I turned PC off and back on again and tried to install again. It couldn't install because it had already installed. :rolleyes:

So no idea what happened there but its installed and patched. Thanks guys. :)

What did you do to get it fixed?
 
No idea at all honestly. The installer told me that it couldn't install Messenger yet when I restarted the PC it was installed all of a sudden. :confused:
 
My installer started off, disappeared... then wouldn't run again. So I rebooted, and it was installed. Bizarre, but it works so I'm not too bothered.
