WmiPrvSE.exe eats 50% cpu on boot up

I just noticed this, and after 5 minutes from having rebooted into windows it spikes to 99% then disappears and my system is normal again. I've checked it for malware but it doesn't appear to be, and when I right click on it in task manager, it shows it's executing from system32/wbem which is where it's meant to be. I don't know what I need to disable to stop this occurring. It's something to do with windows management.

I went into safe mode and it doesn't appear at all in task manager.

Wow, I solved it. I uninstalled AMD Overdrive because I remember seeing WmiPrvSE eating cpu power when I tried to load Overdrive. And Overdrive kept hanging on the initialisation screen and never loading.

So does anyone know about AMD Overdrive and how I can get that working, because it used to load when I last had it working a few months back.
