WMP 10 problem

WMP 10 problem/USB stick turned "write protected"

Saved the WMP10 setup files on my USB stick.
Now I can't remove them, can't change the "archive" attribute to the *.exe. Couldn't do it in safe mode as well.
Format won't run under Admin Acc in safe mode.

Don't need this any more, any ideas how to get rid of it?

Actually my whole stick is suddenly protected, can't delet or change the "archive" attribute of a simple notepad text file.
I see no option in the properties.
Need to do something about this so please guys, help out here.

tried using: cmd chkdsk f: /F (f: is my usb drive) and get this error:
windows cannot run disk checking on this volume because it is write protected.

Check you haven't flicked the read only switch on your pen drive?

yes I did but there is no switch .

PS:Format from the cmd line doesnt work, disk is write protected.

Only thing I can think of is the read/write switch.

Does the BIOS pick it up as a floppy like mine does, if so there should be a read only setting
