WMP auto CD ripping

Every time I insert an album into my pc WMP decides to automatically rip it even though I have unticked the "auto rip CD on insertion" Would be great but WMP is crap and I never use it and then have to manually delete the songs from the my music folder.

Using Vista Premium Home, anyone know what I can do to stop this annoyance.

have you tried:
Control panel>Program Defaults>change Auto Play Settings?
Lots of options in there
