So recently reformatted my system and decided to give a free music player a go, as I'm getting a tad bored with Winamp.

So far people have recommended Windows Media Player or Foobar, which in the freeware utilities thread are highly praised. Used to use WMP in the past but apparently it has got better?
(father In-law swears by it)

As for Foobar I've never used it, but heard good things about it for a free prog.

Any advice, hints or tips would be greatly appreciated :D

Yeah I got Foobar, just to try, a lot more fiddly than WMP but closer to Winamp for my liking.

Just annoys me how it splits song on albums with contributing artists into seperate categories.

Id expect it with compilation albums, but some of the hip hop I have like Jurassic 5 Ft. Nelly Furtado, that track will be in order in the album list (in a playlist) but under it's own heading of Jurassic 5 & Nellly Furtado, if you get me.

Cheers :D

I just spent a chunk of this weekend, re-tagging my 72gig of music and getting all the spellings and stuff right, mundane things we get up to whilst we're off our feet. Mp3Tag is what I used, discovered it after doing up to D manually Lol.
