I have two PC's both running windows 7 and Windows Media Player.

The PC's:

Media PC
Desktop PC

Media PC - Has all the files stored on it.

What i can do: I can play and view both sets of files from either pc and play them. I can also tell one pc to play a certain song from the other (all through Windows media Players "Play to.." option).

What I want to do: View media player on my Desktop PC and just click random all and for it to play on my Media PC. Basically I want it to behave as if my WMP is directly connected to the Media Centers Speakers.

The "Play to..." feature in WMP is far too limited in terms of no. of tracks. No shuffle etc.

I dont mind additional software / swapping Media Players etc. Essentially, I want to be able to play music on my media center from a remote machine (with the abilities to, stop, pause, play all, shuffle and browse/search tracks and select manually (all of this must be doable from my desktop)).

Add your music library to windows media centre (can be a networked drive) on your media pc and you can play "random all" in that, works a treat, plus it looks pretty snazzy.
