WMP11 seek bar not working . .?

I am using WMP11 to view certain AVI's ahem. I am now unable to seek to more interesting parts of the videos. When I click on the seek bar the video starts again.

Is this a K-lite codec problem?

I can't find anything relevant in google.

Anyone?

Had this a few times, usually means the file is corrupt

Perhaps but every file seems to be the same after a while. Initially they play then the seek bar stops working.
