WMP12 Resizing in Win7

I want WMP to keep the same size aspect and show the list whenever I click on a file but it keeps closing the list and making the video sizes smaller. I've tried going through the video options but still the same problem. Anyone know how I can keep the same aspect for all files? It worked fine in Vista as well. Running Win7 x64 Build 7100.
