Don't expect there'll be a solution to this, but I'm gonna vent anyway.
DCS and MSFS both allow comms (and other in-helmet sounds in DCS) to come through a second audio device, so I use speakers for the windows default and the G2 for comms.
Works perfectly with the exception that the WMR audio option "When Mixed Reality Portal is running, switch to headset audio" has to be enabled. I obviously don't want it to *switch* but turning that off doesn't just stop the switching, it disables it completely.
Number of times I've got as far as the cockpit and realised all the audio is coming through the headset. It's damned infuriating.
