WMV playback not working correctly

So I am trying to playback a WMV file in Media Player Classic and I am getting a green with blocky images.
Whereas when I play the same file in WMP11 it runs perfectly.

Admitedly I uninstalled my Klitecodec and reinstalled the latest version and unfortunately its done something.

Anyone have any advice? A recommendation for another codec pack which could solve this?
Or perhaps I am barking up the wrong tree?

A good while back i had the same problem with k-lite. IIRC i uninstalled it and installed CCCP and that fixed it for me:

Failing that, try a system restore.

It was a case of trial and error if i remember correctly!
