WMV searchable?

I have some movie files, all are WMV (afaik) however some can be searched and skipped using the bar on BSplayer/Windows Media player and some cant...

Why are they like this, and how do i make them all searchable/skippable?

The WMV index file is damaged on those files that you can't skip via the bar.

Not sure how to repair it. I tried it using Windows Media Encoder but that's never worked for me.

Could try transcoding the files using virtual dub.
