I've had no internet at my property for a month and 2 failed engineer callouts and 2 instances of a engineer not turning up.

They say a engineer will come next Wednesday I checked the BT site and I have a open fault but all green in my area.

What would you guys do in my situation?

This doesn't help you, but here's a GD story.

They're woeful, a girl at work has been waiting 7 months to be connected up even though her neighbours are all using BT perfectly fine, saying that they need to lay a 30 mile cable to the nearest exchange, engineers have failed to come out and they don't call when they say they're going to and instead text to say it's been rearranged to the 37th of November as she never picked up. :p:D

She bombarded their twitter page and has now sent a letter to their head director, they said they'll call in April to discuss setting it up.

My best with BT was when reporting a fault with my landline... "We'll call you on your home number tomorrow to advise progress. Will you be in?"

Ummm. Yes but my broken phone line won't :D

At least it wasn't as bad as Talk Talk after they took over a company that I was originally with. They refused to agree I was a Broadband customer of theirs and kept cutting me off for a day and then turning it back on. When I tried to move elsewhere no-one would take me because there was a marker for Talk Talk on my line. After about a year of constant calling I got OFCOM involved to sort it out. One of their "help"desk guys even asked me to explain how I managed to get a Talk Talk marker on my line when I wasn't with them. Bunch of muppets.

Welcome to Openreach. Even BT customers are subject to their awful 'service' yet BT never say a word to OFCOM about them. Openreach were responsible for a third of BT's profits last year, why would they?

I moved into a new build house a month ago and still no BT. Apparently the builders have screwed something up so BT are refusing to install a master socket in anyone's homes. I don't blame BT for that but their communication to me has been dreadful, all they'll tell me officially is that there is a problem

BT make the word incompetent look bad.

A few years back I arranged with them to move my phone line to a new address, all booked, confirmation on their website.

The day we move in, no active phone line, so we leave it to the next day just to give them a chance.
The next day, surprise surprise, no phone line. I end up spending nearly an hour on my mobile to their customer services who are adamant that I have terminated my service with them, despite me having proof on my BT order webpage of a transfer being processed!

The icing on the cake came when they had the audacity to offer me a new line activation for £125 (I can't remember the exact amount).

Oh, and I had to wait over a year for credit on my account to be refunded, as apparently numerous cheques were sent to me but got lost in the post, and I quote "that's to be expected from the Royal Mail".
