Parentals have asked me what I want off them for my birthday next week and I've decided on a wok (seeing as my missus threw out the last one because it "looked knackered" but it was just well seasoned).

So, it's for an electric ring stove, needs a lid, and I'd prefer one with a long handle rather than the two hand grips some have. Can anyone suggest a good site that has some on? Think my old one was Typhoon brand and about £40, so something around that style and price.

john lewis have some german ones not round bottom ones ,

stainlees steel with a thick base just the job for leccy stove ( in sure if they are induction safe tho )

Before you spend all the cash, look in your local supermarket. I have had a Ken Hom wok for a few year's now and it is great. You can also get the steamer and serving dishes to go with your wok too.

The one I use is a Tefal, it works OK on a ceramic hob too where a heavier one might not do so well.
