Wolfdale e8200, e8400 and e8500 available for Pre-Order!

I never said AMD was better, just the fact it wins in Bandwidth hungry apps or benches, thats why Intel are stealing another AMD idea and putting the Memory Controler inside the CPU sometime soon).

I dont care if someone buys a Dual or a Quad but Im sick of the Dual V Quad BS, heard it all when the E6850 and Q6600 Go launched (Hope this thread does not get ruined by that cause its good so far).

I made a decision made on lots of reading of reviews and my own situation not what you think is better. :)

I have bought a E8500, it costing me next to nothing as someone want my 4GHZ Capable Good Steppings E6850.

Gonne end up biting the bullet I think and getting an E8400 I'm sure I wont regret it, will i? :o, my P35C DS3R maxes out at 480FSB so can at least get 4.3Ghz if possible :p.

Go on, you know you want 4560mhz :p

P.S your Mobo may get a different FSB with that CPU and esp since a Dual is easier to raise FSB on that a Quad with most Mobos today.

I can get 4.3 I rekon with an 8400 at under 480fsb but the question is will it be stable? I'll be using a Ultra 120 cooler or maybe an OCZ Vindciator, you think my vindicator will be fine?

Well if you can run a 480FSB with a Q6600, it should be stable with a Dual, may even get higher.

A lot of peeps get stuck at 400FSB with Quads (depending on Mobo/Chipset).

Im going to retain my 120mm Noctua (will run cooler than my E6850 anyhow), because I dont want to lap a TR 120E for hours then possibily fix the Mounting Mech, cause this is due 1 year late :

I run at 480max with a E6600.

I'm thinking I could easily let this E6600 got for 60 to 65 but I cant help thinking I need to try make more money as I'm leeting it go for silly low :(.

Still cant decide Q6600 go or E8400..... Need some supreme commander benchies with Q6600 vs Core2duo @ 3ghz using Core maximizer

Thats not much to ask is it lol

I got a very bad feeling after crysis/cod4 and the latest games quad core gaming is still a year or 2 away before the 3rd core is even remotely used.

And supreme commander is perhaps the worst and only benchmarkable game !
