Wolfdale E8500 Temps

I have just fitted my 8500 to a new MB Asus P5Q Deluxe Core Temp 0.99 is reporting idle temps of Core 0 34c -- Core 1 37c do these seem ok as when I had the Cpu fitted to my other Mb the Bios could not read the correct temps of the 45nm cpu's

Look reasonable, what cooler are you using.
Idealy you need to check full load temps.

Thanks for thr reply using Tuniq Tower 120-LFB CPU Cooler I was hoping the temps would be under 30c I wil try it on full load and report back

Looks ok to me too!

At stock clocks and under good watercooling i get 28c idle and 38c 100% load.

Have just run 3D Mark vantage to put the Cpu under load temps were Core 0 41c-- Core 1 46c

Why use that ?, best run Prime95 or Orthos if you want to load the CPU (can load different parts of the CPU).

After running Prime I am now getting Core 0 40c -- Core 1 45c I left Prime running for 1 hour
