hi all,

i have been playing Wolf ET for over 4 years now and still love it and play often. even had a small OcUK clan going!!

however i feel like i want to move onto a newer game. i love the team and class based interaction of ET. what can you recomend that i take up?

i have never tried CS and for some reason dont like the idea (too far behind)

should i wait for the new Enemy Territory? when is it out?

RTCW is the best of its type to be honest!!! I played that from demo and have just decided to hang up the gloves.

There is nothing that will come near what Nerve designed for RTCW and splash damage ruined with ET and ETQW.. although ET was ok, it did not deliver what the RTCW community on a whole wanted. Splash damage where a mod group from Bromley in London/Kent, they should have stuck to that..

hang on ET was a free game how can you complain! it was then taken and now has numerous mods applied to it. to me thats a good thing!

This thread got me back on last night and I had a great game for about an hour before the server emptied out. Anyway, tried again today and all I can find are dodgy servers with odd maps and weird mods.
Then I found a decent server, propper maps and no mods... played for about 2 mins and realised that most of the players were bots!!!

Anyone know of any real ET servers still out there??

binks has just put up a server...

its called kings kingdom... dont have the IP to hand but maybe if he sees this he will be able to post it. yu should be able to find in in xfire. its v new so its often v quiet.

maybe we shoudl organise a game... :)
 
hi all OcUK clan guys....

if binks would show up his server only has etadmin mod and standard maps.

i dont know the IP off the top of my head...

is there a demo of TF2 available?

yeah it will be empty now....

i would be on later but i have to go out for dinner with in laws... nightmare..

might be on tomorrow night though.... always use xfire when i play.

its just standard maps atm... although i think venice is a great map, used to love temple as well!!

its up to binks though, its his server!
 
hmmm will give the demo of ET QW a go. i have tried TF2 its doesnt promote team play like ET does (becuse it does not reward it)

oh well had some good games of ET yesterday with some old OcUK guys :)

hmm i guess.... just still feels everyone running around doing their own thing. at least with ET if you have a good team going they are all working to the same objective.

also i agreee about map sizes. it seems bigger means better, i am not sure it does....
