I was watching Digital Foundry's co-op play - how does it work when you are playing single player? Is the other girl controlled by AI or is it just you on your own?

Nah, I don't agree with that. I love the Laserkraftwerk weapon in the new games. It's great fun to melt everything away in front of you. And the baddie, Frau Engel is hilarious.
