Wolfram is a modern remake of Wolfenstein 3D which was created by id Software in the distant 1992. It features modern graphics including per-pixel lighting and shadows, ragdoll physics, real 3D environment, gameplay enchancements, achievement system and many other original innovations. The game includes the full shareware episode of Wolfenstein 3D of 10 levels. This is a special European version of the game without any Nazi attributes that may violate the law or insult some people.

Wolfenstein was one I missed out on, so this definitely appeals to me. Development projects like this, fps with lots of levels, etc, are just what I would like see more of, e.g. Quake, Doom, etc. :)

Though, I might have to turn that music off! :D

I still remember days spent playing the likes of this, blake stone, rise of the triad, doom...

All shareware versions, to the youngsters shareware was like a demo but a LOT bigger.

I had to check to make sure I hadn't posted this in my sleep, exactly what I was going to write. ;)

How about adding "Blood" and "Shadow Warrior" to the games list, loads of fun to be had back in the day.

I was sat here going... "No way was Wolfenstein released in '92... its way older than that, '92 was only the other year..."

Then I realised '92 was 20 years ago and I'm just old. :(

Brilliant no swastikas or moustache :D

There are however there were three versions made i believe

"Shareware" is the stuff of nightmares for E.A shareholders :)

For developers, it was a great way of doing buisness and getting your game "out there" in the "wild" with mates copying it giving it to each other, free legal publicity.
