Woman logic? (possible poll)

So a female mate of mine was mentioning that she feels like crap having not being able to get a decent night's sleep recently.

She's currently trying to save money to buy a place next year, and is currently spending a few nights a week at a colleague's house in a box room, when not staying over at her bf's or visiting her parents outside London on weekends.

The main problems she has is that the bed she has been given is really uncomfortable, resulting in a very sore neck, and the fact that the shower in the bathroom doesn't work beyond a trickle, making showering a long effort, and washing her hair pretty much impossible.

Now this is making her feel really unsettled and is getting her down quite a bit.

So me, in all my manly logic, suggest getting a memory foam topper for the bed (£35), as they can make very bad mattresses sleepable (I have a double that I use), and to spend cash on a new shower that works properly.

This is all out of her own pocket, as she is saving a massive amount of money staying with her colleague (Only £100 a month all inc!!!).

Whilst the foam topper is a go, she says she can't get a new shower attachment for the bath, as this would be an insult to her colleague and upset her (???).

I cannot fathom the logic. They are saying in a house where the shower only trickles. She pays for a new shower attachment, and everyone benefits from a proper shower. Where is the harm? Why would her colleague be insulted?

It's not her colleague's property, just an assigned residence from the council as her hubby is a cop. So it's not even like she is dissing their own bought property.

She'd rather suffer and be unhappy for the next 8 or so months than sort the shower out.

WHERE IS THE LOGIC??!?!?

Hnnnnnnggggggg!

I can see the point she's making it'd be like saying "the house you live in is crap, you live in crap"

but yea, actually a bit mental there if I'm honest ;)

She needs a proper shower, everyone benefits from a proper shower, I don't see how that could be construed as telling someone they live in crap?

In all honesty, I cannot fathom living without a shower at all!

Like the guys before me said. Women are completely mental, a helpful piece of advice I can give you is to use the simple phrase "yes, love". You need to learn that they will moan about everything and anything, and it will making things a lot easier on yourself if you learn to ignore it.

I don't want her to have a nervous breakdown though, lol!

She's has a very stressful job, and if she is already being affected by this new living situation (it's only been a week), she might crack in a few months time.

Hopefully the shower adaptors that you attach to taps that I found on Ebay will work, even though she says she won't mention it and would smuggle the shower in and out each time! hahaha

If she fixed the problems, then she wouldn't have anything to moan about.
Thirded. The more threads on OcUK I read the more I think there are two distinct breeds of women :p

Also if she carries on whining about it after you have told her how to sort it politely remind her you have already given her a solution and change the subject immediately ;)

Women are mental but the last few days one particular girl has agreed with me (for a change!) that something we had a long chat about made her think for ages at night and that she'd not thought about it like that before.

I was floored because usually I get the "men are wrong women are always right you'll see!" response :p

I guess not all women (like Muslims) want to blow stuff out of proportion :P

How on earth is it down to 'woman' logic? I'm a woman and wouldn't hesitate to tell my mate that their shower sucks.

Your friend is just being silly. Nothing to do with being female.
