Woman sues council for pothole damage to illegal e scooter.

I read some woman is sueing her council due to hitting a pothole on her illegal scooter and damaging it and herself.

Not sure if she will get anything.

What are your views on these devices? Really handy for popping down the shops? Or a bane of human existence and a menace on the roads to cars and pedestrians alike? Mostly they are not legal unless you have a certain type but I haven't looked too closely into it as I have no plans to get one.

The first time I ever encountered one was early 2000s. I saw Chris Ewbanks zipping along the seafront and I over took him in my Mondeo. Since then they have increased massively.

I used to bump into him all the time at one point.
