As title, I love my Mrs to bits, but we having a half jokey fight about her asking me 'how do I save this coursework for my course as a word file'.......... written on an ipad :confused: :rolleyes: :o :D

Well you can imagine my response........'here have this laptop I don't use that has MS Office on......it will be a lot faster to write and email a 2000 word essay in .doc format than trying to type on an ipad.........

'NO !!! MY IPAD IS FINE'

Ok..........try this bluetooth keyboard, surely a lot easier to type on for 2000 words?

'NO!! '

How do I email this as a word doc off my ipad? :D

Do you guys ever experience such things? lol
 
I have this, but with my mum and dad, poor old dears!

I see a lot of people (girls especially) as uni using surfaces, but they at least are pretty much pc's, so they are unlikely to encounter many problems!
 
another apple sheep there then. To be fair though what is the point in all these tablets? I was offered one on my phone contract and all the woman could do to 'sell' it to me was for updating Facebook, Twitter etc and general net surfing?! I'm not on either Facebook or Twitter and i can surf on my phone away from my pc. They just seem pointless yet they spring up everywhere as a must have gadget :confused:

lol yeah solved it now..........I still can't get over the fact she types on the ipad screen like my grandad on a normal keyboard..........yet when she uses a normal keyboard she touch types...............but no..........screen keyboard it is! lol

They're fantastic for a bit of browsing, or for watching/reading things on journeys.

not written as an insult. :rolleyes: OP mentions woman on ipad but refers to microsoft software when trying to do work. clever marketing has made apple products popular as they're simple to use but dont have the software they require for the task at hand.....:rolleyes:

Pages, numbers and keynote all export to office compatible formats or use open office for ipad :rolleyes:

if you read my post earlier you'll see i haven't been swept up in the tablet madness so as a result i have no idea what apps are available and if they are or are not compatible with ms office :rolleyes:
