I've had sausages. They come in links. Link sausages and sausages are one and the same. Calling them link sausages is like calling gammon ham gammon, or beef cow beef. The word is redundant.
 
Women will buy anything on offer.

As a man I don't even need to think about what I'm buying, offers are completely ignored, I don't browse. It takes me 10 minutes to do my weekly shop and the only extras I come out with are alcoholic, not because they were on offer, because they look good.

Unless you want to distinguish them from other types of sausage. Google "Lorne sausage". Sometimes referred to as square sausage colloquially. In places where Lorne sausage is eaten regularly, referring to link sausages as 'links' rather than just 'sausages' avoids any confusion.
