Hiya,

Ergg, embarrasing post..My gf cant decide on a hair cut. Personally im not THAT bothered, but myself, I prefere long hair on a girl. She has always had longish hair, though it has shortened quite a bit over the last year or so. So she asked me to ask opinoins of others and what better place to ask :)

She showed me the two styles below and I didnt really think much of them. I prefer her hair the way it is. So just wondered what others prefere, long or short ?

This is her fav one -

And this is how she currently has it -

Im not massively bothered, but do prefere it long.

Thanks

the first 2 look ok in a magazine, for a short period. they would look horrid every day.

I think she needs to get that mark on her face sorted first :D. The long hair suits her though.

Out of the two styles the 2nd one is the best imo, but that might just be because the girl is hotter so i dunno :p

Anyway, it looks great as she has it right now.

LONG!

Short hair looks fresh and great for about a day before girls get too lazy to smother it in hairspray every morning and it gets all flat and then they end up looking like men.

LONG!

lol knew that was comming, i didnt get her permission to post her on this kind of popular forum so thought best not :)

The top style [which is a great colour, by the way] just won't work with anything other than those fey waif-girlies with pixie faces. It'll also grow out of shape quickly, and due to the asymmetric nature will probably require another trip to the stylist sooner rather than later.

Your girlfriend appears to have more of an oval face, a shape which the second style suits more - moreso than her current style, if you ask me, which just exaggerates the ovalness and makes her hair look a bit thin. It's also more versatile and lower-maintenance than the first.

So in summary: the second one.

EDIT: I think colouring would be a good idea, too.

Leave it how it is.

GF also has had patches where she wanted different short styles & there was one time she got a really short bowl haircut dyed a sort of purple colour - it was terrible looking and just didn't suit her face (but I didn't tell her that) ;)

She never had the time to keep them the way she got them cut, so her hair ended up looking pretty rough after a few weeks. Long hair on girls is far nicer and a lot less hassle if they have fine hair that is difficult to manage.

And I prefer my wife blond with long straight hair (unless she wears wear a wig) - which is even more fun and a lot less hassle when she has her couple of days she fancies a change (usually around 'that' time of month) ;)

Long every time, those hairstyles are horrendous.

By the way it's rather complementary that you think us, computer geeks, have valid opinions of female hairstyles :D

So she's after the Keira look then. Personally, I think that can look really good, but a hairstyle like that is obviously fairly high-maintenance. As above, hair grows, so it isn't the end of the world anyway.
