I occasionally watch womens football when it's on TV. It is a little slow though. Probably about the same level as league 2 imo. Maybe Conference.

I think the goalkeepers let it down slightly as well.

I remember Ian Wright commentating on a game a few years ago (might have been the last world cup actually, was it in Asia somewhere?) and he basically started laughing at one of the goalkeepers. She was terrible iirc, but he said somthing along the lines of "some of the keepers are not good enough, They are standing on the line and you can chip 'em"LOL

He was Chairman of the womens FA or something wasn't he?

^^Based on what little I've seen previously (Women's fa cup finals) the standard of goalkeeping is the big issue, hopeless on crosses, as mentioned as well long shots just under the crossbar cause them a lot of trouble as well. It's basically like watching David James in his Liverpool days.

Major problems with keepers for sure, I think they could justifiably shrink the goals by 6" to be honest, though saying that, it's not as if there's a lot of goals in the games is there?

You guys who have not watched this WWC have missed real soccer. This time the women are different. They are doing every this you expect in a classic football game. No wonder i am no longer seeing the 8-5 score lines that used to be the order of the day.

IMO WWC has been the best football competition in this summer break. The U21, U17 and now copa America are ***t.

This is the game i remember from the world cup, maybe the last one. Couldn't believe how bad the Argentina 'keeper was

Trying to watch the England game but the standard is comically ****.

edit: hahaha that France goal is amazing, what on earth is the keeper diving for 10 minutes after the ball's gone in.

Just switched over to channel 2 for the French goal. Great goal may switch off now and my impression of womans football will be a good one, liking the delayed dive from the keeper after the ball was in the net.

If the top womans team was allowed to compete against Men what level does everyone think they would reach? Conferance South/North? Or just regional level?
