Won a return ticket to New York

I won it at a raffle and it's legit - I just need to claim it.

It's via Kuwait Airways and I have a signed letter from the Regional Director of Europe to contact him to claim the ticket.

I don't want it is because it's just the one ticket and so I have no reason to go other than a shopping spree. But even then I'd need somewhere to stay and you need to pay taxes on the ticket (~£100).

I ran a quote for a 5-day return ticket via Kuwait Airways for the last week of November and it's worth £400 + £100 in taxes.

Also there are blackout periods - you can't fly out in December and you can't fly back between 1st and 15th of January 2009. You have to fly out and return by March 31st 2009. Book dates by October 15th.

I know I can't sell it here, and I don't think I could sell it on eBay (too much hassle).

I've asked my friends if they want it, but none do. It's a bit of a waste, so WWJD? Any ideas?

I would have thought that the booking won't be made until you confirm dates etc so up till then you should be able to put whatever name you like.

Did you manage to use the ticket in the end?

I guess since no-one replied to your thread you could use my dates as a guideline.
