Hey everyone hope you all had a great christmas,

Just wondering if anyone is able to help me, for xmas i gone a sweet 32" sony bravia tv, i have hooked it up to my pc, however i am wanting to mirror the exact thing shown on my pc monitor.

I have tried 2 things and failed miserably (sp):

1. Tried cloning using CCC - However it cloned the same res as my monitor (1280 x 1024)

2. Tried using the mirror option on ultramon, got the correct resolution for the tv, however the quality is shocking!!

Just wondering what options i have, basically i want it so its like @ lans (i know sad!!) where people can watch the game whilst i am playing (usng this as an example)

Is there any solutions?

Many Thanks :)

This would be quite easy if the monitor and tv were the same resolution. Assuming they're not, the only suggestion would have been presentation software. If the ultramon's quality is so bad then maybe you should try their support forums. I don't know how ultramon works but real time scaling of high resolution images is be very, very intensive and i'm sure that games or movies will not work in this way.

thanks for your reply, however still after a few days i have not had any feedback from there support.

BUMP.

does anyone on here have 2 monitors set up @ 2 different resolutions running the same screen @ the same time?

Thanks

i managed to do this no problem with my 20" widescreen (1680 x 1050) and my 17" 4:3 (1280 x 1024)

there will be an option in windows to "extend my desktop onto this monitor"

just untick it, and it should then show the same image on both screen at their native res

least it does for me on an X1900 XT

I have an issue similar to this with a 19" widescreen and a 19" regular I wikll also try this when I get home from work.

will let you know if it works.

It should work on any card, i tried it over Christmas with an old ATI card. You should be able to run the screens at different resolutions on the same settings panel by clicking on either "1" or "2" (depending on which screen you want to change) and just changing the resolution as you would normally.
