Don't think I have seen a thread for this but is anyone else looking forward to this? Brian Cox follow up series to Wonders of the solar system and starts this Sunday. Really looking forward to it as Brian has a great way of explaining things so clearly.

Looking forward to it. Love the subject.

Cox is a good presenter, but I hope he doesn't end up becoming so popular that the bbc drag him out whenever there is something vaguely scientific to talk about. Part of his appeal is his unassuming nature and over exposure will start to make him irritating imo.

Liked Wonders of the Solar Systems and the Star Gazing programs he did with his clear and entertaining presenting style.

Im sure he will eventually take over the Sky at Night show when the Moorester finally meets the Great Maker.

Moore is immortal, and will never relinquish control of the Sky at Night!

Don't you worry, he will be presenting game shows on a saturday night before long!!! :D

Is it me or is a good half of this show going consist of shots of Mr Cox walking along a road or gazing at something off camera?

Also isn't it "Wonders of the Universe", not "Wonders national geographic have already spent the last 20 years telling us about"?

More cool spacey physics stuff, less soppy "ooo aaaaah isn't this lovely" garbage.

I believe its building context.

I don't mind Cox as a person but find his voice very bland. He could be talking about the most interesting scientific topic and I'd still only hear a soft drone.

Half way through and I am bored, a total waste of 30mins talking about ancient human history and watching turtles lay eggs... isn't this episode supposed to be about time and it's workings?

Hope we see some real content otherwise I will be turning off. It is one thing building context but it shouldn't take half the programme.

I just cant get into his voice either. Much prefer the Universe - although it always has a few excited americans, the voiceovers are by a brit, and very good.
