Just been looking through some pics from the start of the year. I like this one, not too sure why. I though I would 'stick it' in here.

Cool looking tree but I do feel the composition of the photo is lacking impact. Also think this will look a lot better in black and white.

It looks a bit noisy in black and white i don't know why. I straightened the horizon. Made a crap border but anyway.

Like the shot midville , I like the contrast between the blue of the sky & the grey/black from the tree/wall.

Hope you don't mind , couldn't resist a bit of a tinker

I think that you may have pushed the curves a bit hard - there's not enough information in the low-res jpeg to do too much.
