wont boot

hi guys,
one of my pc's wont boot, on start up it says boot disc failure insert system disc.
this still happens even if i use a different H/D.

any ideas?

wont boot from cd, gets to where it says starting windows then just stays there.
changed hd
changed mem
changed ide cable
is it the mum board gone do you think?

the h/d's dont show in the bios, still wont see them after you do a search for them

its an abit ic7 mobo, i have tried 3 drives and it wont see any of them

yep done the bios and took the battery out, will try a rebuild next, any more ideas guys.
