wont pick up internet cable

i have just built a new pc and it wont connect to the internet using the cable (it cant find it) the motherboard is a MSI z68a-g45g3) i have installed all the drivers
whats the problem?

Is the network card enabled ?? when you plug the cable into the pc do the green lights flash on the board ??

its plugged in to the motherboard. no lights come on :/

You probably forgot to install the realtek network drives, they come separate from the MB drivers.

Nope, not on that board or the one I have. You have to install a seperate realtek driver, it comes with the CD your board came with. Or you can install it from their website.

Thanks, i downloaded it and it came up sayin it was already installed if asked if i'd want to unistall or repair it, i clicked on repair and it has done the trick
