Lovely player. First impressions were "blimey, its a bit FAT", in comparison to my iRiver H10 anyway. [blog mention]

I love the player to bits, but I just can't for the life of me get used to the touchpad which is overly sensitive, even on the Low settings. Half the time when I want to go up or down, I end up selecting the song, which a middle tap is normally required for. It's a PITA and on day 2 of using the player I still can't navigate at all without selecting the wrong song/album/function.

The FM radio which is so essential to me has totally poor reception compared to my H10 which is crystal clear. Boo :(

What else can I whinge about? Oh yes, I thought this thing came with a flamin AC charger? I had to buy one off the fleabay for £10!

Other then all that, its a great player :D

Hmm something tells me the latest models with the latest firmware like mine possibly don't come with a charger. I've seen quite a few forum posts where new owners like myself all have no charger. The AC one from fleabay works nicely though, it'll be useful at work.

I've already compared it to a mates ipod video and it's miles better. More colorful and vibrant. I just need to wait for a BSE skin to arrive from the states now because the included leather pouch is awful - it leaves little yellow bits of fur all over the player :/

Anyway the 3rd party ones are better as they plug straight into the player rather than needing that plastic connector.
Ahh cheers for the info. A charger would have been handy in my case because if my player is low on charge while at work, I'd go hysterical on the bus ride home should my player die on me. Yeah, my new charger has a connector that plugs directly into the player without that pesky dongle :)

Hmm, just had a flash of inspiration, cheers Eliot. No idea about the 'lite' pack, it was a rather small box though...

I've been using the creative labs EP-630 headphones on these which were fine on my H10 for radio use. I wonder if the bundled vision:m headphones give better radio reception? I'll try them later tonight.

I think I have the US firmware as I have no volume cap that the European fw apparently has...

I couldn't drag and drop upon plugging in my ZVM for the first time. XP wanted to install some drivers but I couldn't find any on the cd let alone the webby. So I installed the software (creative media explorer) which isn't for once bloated - it's an extension that works in XP's explorer and you can see the ZVM as another drive.

I find the ZVM can handle most of my mpg/divx files without any hassle. I just right click a file in explorer to bring up the context menu, and then I chose the newly added 'copy to creative zen vision:m' option and it transfers the file across to the right dir on the player, depending on file type.
