Kept on meaning to post pictures of this...

Home build case I made about 2 months ago I thought you guys might like to see.

It doubles as my bedside table :) - runs very cool - and IMO looks pretty good too :)

Not bad at all. :)

Could put some rubber trim around the fan though, or a inner metal ring, give it some more presence in the room when you look at it from a 'its a PC' point of view.

How long it take you to make?

Only took a few hours ( part of one day basically ).

Incidently the only metal in the case is the PSU and HDD mountings. As you can see the CD-Rom is just held in place by friction.

Very nice mate :) , i wouldnt of used pine though as there is a lot of movement in softwood especially when heat is involved. i was going to make a case out of American walnut but the quote i recieved for the timber was over £260  . Id really like to make the case though but at that price i cant. I was also thinking of using Ash and dying it black  , itll match my speakers then.

with that much air inside heat isn't an issue, it's probably the case with the coolest temperature of all mine, possibly with the exception of the PC7.

Pine's fine :) - and the sides are exterior ply.
