Does anyone have any experience of 100% wool carpets vs 80/20 mix?

I've seen a 100% wool carpet I like but am not sure if an 80/20 mix carpet would be a better choice for longevity, wear etc? The carpet is just for 2 bedrooms, one of which will mainly be used as a study, so not super high traffic areas.

Any other downsides to 100% wool carpets?

100% wool will crush down and go flat over time. 80/20 will look better for longer as the 20% man made material will help it spring back up. Also makes it a little less resistant to staining. 100% wool is really hard to remove stains from where as 100% man made are usually bleach cleanable and really easy to remove stains, that 20% will help a little.

They will if you run the vacuum over them. Try it on furniture indentations.
A good underlay will help.

As for the study, laminate or wood is generally the better choice (dust, chair wheels, wear)

Thanks for the info. The study won't really be used that much and in reality it will be a 2nd bedroom which has a desk in it, hence I'd prefer carpet. I'll be putting a rug down to protect the carpet from the chair.
