I feel terrible from getting ****faced last night, but I also feel great because I just finished my first year of Motorsport Engineering yesterday! Learned a lot of cool stuff as well as some boring stuff this year and hope I did well on the exams.

W00000000T!!

And congrats in advance for all you out there finishing something this year, in advance because I think we get out a bit early in comparison to most schools.

I finished my second year at college two weeks ago, BTEC Nat Diploma in Computing. Got a DDM overall. Nout but work until september now though :p

Congrats mate!

which uni do you go to?

i do powertrain and i finished last week ^^

First maths exam tomoz, and i really CANNOT be bothered with it.
I havnt revised enough, but funnily enough, i dont care that much, its not good.

GRRRR LIFE IS GETTING ON MY NERVES ATM!

Sidenote: You do not know how hard it was NOT swearing in this post xD

I didn't revise enough for my math exam either :( I'm pretty sure I passed though. For some reason I am just TERRIBLE at math. I failed 3 times in a row in highschool, and that was before I was a hardcore stoner high 24/7 for like 4 years. I quit smoking years ago but still my grasp on math is terrible. but for some reason have no problem with thermodynamics, mechanics, kinematics...etc. Beginning to feel like I was born to be an engineer....just have to get past this math trouble and I know I can with hard work.

Good luck on your exam! Keep cramming man

I don't finish my 1st year for another 4 weeks. :(

Got 4 papers to come: Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering and Materials, Electrical and Information Engineering and Mathematical Methods. I'm fine with the maths and the electrical, and the structures shouldn't be too bad. But materials is horrible, and mechanical is too hard.

I was about to say Brookes. Hows good old gypo lane or are you out a Wheatley?

I'm out in Wheatley now. They have the new engineering building built and it's wonderful. The "R" building, such a fast letter lol

paradox that sounds intense, what is your degree? Are you taking general mechanical engineering?

When I was there no one wanted to be out at Wheatley, it was only in my last year that they move the Comp Sci and fortunately only had a couple of lectures/seminars there.

Maths non calculator GCSE resit for me tomorrow, 5/6 years after sitting it the first time round lol lets hope the questions come my way this time:o

It is intense. I'm ****ing dreading it...!:p

At the moment it's "engineering". I basically do everything for 2 years, and then specialise in years 3 and 4. I'll probably end up doing information or electronic engineering, unless I enjoy 2nd year mechanical/thermo more than I have this year.

oh that's still the case. Wheatley is out in the middle of nowhere! However the new engineering building certainly is nice. We have SOOO much space, meaning there are so many cars there usually. We had a 2006 williams f1 replica and a Le Mans car for swapping a LS1 into....and of course the other usual lineup of formula 3 and indy cars.

The worst thing was in my first year some poor sod went to the top of Wheatley tower and jumped:(

We used to drive out, I don't think you can even do that now. This was when we used to park around Morrell Halls no bother.

Good thing you know what you want to do. I graduated highschool at 17 and now this is my 4th university and I'm 23. Was doing a Microbiology and Computer Science program before but really love cars and stuff so I think I'm going to be sticking to this degree. At the end of the funds as well, especially with international fees  so no changing anymore
