I got me a RMX 50 2003 model off my gf dad about a week back and i was told before i paid for it that it's 50/50 it will not run and i mite need to get another engine for it.

But after putting the head gasket back on and sealing the base gasket.

Then cleaning carburetor it all seems to work now.

That sounds really easy to some of you i know but as i have never done that before i feel proud of myself lol.

So all i need to do now is buy a few more bits then it's on the road i hope.

Not bad for £100 i think.

I really need to find a work shop manual for it but i cannot find one on the net at all.

Have you checked ebay for a manual?

Oh and you know its a bannable offence not to post pictures of said work and bike :p

Maybe because it'sa grey import ?

I have been looking at other bikes that use the same engine like the TS50X http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzuki_TS50X and there a few workshop books on ebay for that i can get :)


I would love to take pictures but our camera broken and now it seems also lost as well lol :(
 
Well done mate, i think you've posted a couple of pics of it already here somewhere?. And thats the beauty of two strokes, top end rebuilds are so easy...ideal to cut your teeth on...

Bikes stripped down now as much as i would dare take off to clean it all up.
