Woot! Passed today at 14:30.

4 minors...Move Off: Safety :-), Signals: Timed ???, Steering Control and Gear Control.

It was more a case of ffs lets just get on with this, so shot around every corner & every street as fast as i could (0-30mph mostly).

So glad cos the waiting game of failing once had me going crazy with stress for 6 weeks.

First time i was much better overall. I got 1 minor & rest was perfect but then i curbed it on the 3 point turn. He had to slam the breaks on which is an instant failure. It was really slow...that kind of "oh **** im i aint going forward" but then he did pick a spot with a really old lampost right on the edge of the curb.

Pass Plus any good for a 24 year old looking for cheaper car insurance???

I "did" pass plus, and whilst most insurance companies I rang for quotes didn't recognise it :(

However, going on the motorway and other wet weather driving stuff with my instructor was really useful.
However, in a year, I must have done thousands upon thousands of miles on motorways now, but it was well worth the experience with my instructor.

For this reason alone, definitely not. Having the pass plus did nothing for my insurance quotes. It wasn't worth the money but that's just my opinion. I had already driven in all weather throughout my lessons and the motorway part of it was pointless due to nerves, I barely took any information in and couldn't navigate efficiently.

If you live in wales, and thus can get it for like £30 yes. If not, no, just go with an experienced driver on the motorway somewhere, you'll get the same out of it.

Pass Plus saved me a bit more than it cost to do off the insurance, something like £100 ish so worth finding out about.
