word '07 magically changing options...

anybody came across this?
upon hitting "SmartArt" in two different documents i get two different styles of options for it.

Could the problem be that the first one is saved as the 97-03 (or what ever it is) template?


Also how do i delete a text box?....it doesn't seem to let me.

Very probably compatability mode, some options just aren't available when using .doc (older format) instead of .docx (newer format).

Wasn't the extended smart art put in with SP1? Or at least put in for .doc in SP1? Can't remember.
