Hi, hope someone can help with this damn annoying issue.

I am trying to sort out an issue for a user who has a document with a table. In the table there appears to be some closed curly brackets within the text. The brackets in question are }}. These are also highlighted red.
I can't seem to fathom out how to delete these damn annoyances. The normal backspace seem to do nothing apart from highlight the document all the way back to the start. Once it gets to these brackets.
Right clicking gives no options that seem to be of relevence.

Even if you try to highlight them they, again, highlight the document to the start.

Does anyone have any ideas? or Ever seen this before?

It's not the markup / review thingy is it?

Tools > Track Changes.
Is that the thing that looks like a mirrored P? Where pressing it shows the formatting done on the page? I was going to suggest that but I don't have Office 2003 so I couldn't be sure where that button was.

I think you guys are on the right lines. The user does do reviewing and trackings changes etc.

I still can't fathom it out and have given up. We have managed a work around by redoing the table.

It's still annoying though. I hate being beaten!
