Word 2007 on a 24" Widescreen

When I open a new Word document in word, the page appears off centre to the left of the screen, is this normal when running at 1920 res? I would like to simply have the page appear in the centre like I did on my old machine, but it seems to want to have the pages side by side, and read like a book.

Anyone know if this can be changed? Or is this the way its meant to be when running at a much higher resolution?

use the slider in the bottom right corner to increase the zoom.

It's because the resolution is large enough to display 2 full pages side by side and a new document only has 1 page.

As above, change the zoom. You MIGHT be able to achieve it by changing the layout view also.

Sounds like it's opening in reading layout. You can change it in the options menu

Zoom will do it. 120% for me takes it to one page.

i don't know about 2007 which i hardly used because i hated it, but in 2010 there's an option in the "view" tab on the ribbon to display one page at a time, which should do what you want

I have mine at 160% zoom - works fine.

yeh had this on my 30" i can see 6 pages at once its very weird but very nice and handy!
