Having a tear your hair out moment.

I've just spent 4 hours designing a leaflet in Word 2008 using one of the built in 'BROUCHURE' templates for 2 pages onto a page.

In Publishing Layout and print Layout it looks great and all fits perfectly on the dimensions of an A4 piece of paper.

If I go to print or save as a PDF however it just prints a zoomed in portion and cocks up the whole document. I've been playing for ages and I just can't get the thing to print or save as a PDF properly. Any ideas?

I don't know why MS ditched their Publisher application from the 90s, it was so much better than Word. Word is one of the worst, most unintuitive pieces of crap software I have ever used.

If I create a new blank page and paste the stuff in low and behold it pastes so that it is massive on the correctly setup A4 paper.

This is so frustrating. How I do just get the sodding thing to re-format the whole document so that it will print nicely onto an A4 bit of paper.

I think I'm going to just start the whole thing again from scratch.

Obviously the template was designed for an A3 document.

I just spent 15 minutes trying to resurrect the master pages tab because Word randomly decided to hide it in settings. I'm going to walk away from this computer before I lose the plot completely :D

If it's getting you to that state then yeah, get a brew or something.

Sometimes, depending on the print driver installed, it will expose options to scale to A4 so you wouldn't have to do any more work. I guess in future beware of templates and check the dimensions you're working with.

You're not the first and won't be the last.

Just popped down to the gym just let off some steam and going to work on it from scratch again. Will be a good opportunity to get all the formatting word perfect.

Cheers
