Where are they saved? The document recovery file for microsoft word?

they should be saved by default in the roaming profile if using vista usually something like

C:\Users\'insert user name here'\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\

if using 2007 you can specify where you want document recovery files to be saved in options

In XP is it the same?

xp still has an appdata or simular in the users directory should be in there somewhere

c:\docs and settings\'insert username'\ application data
