Erm.. Bit of a noob question but how do you do it?

Right.

You can either do it online (http://createpdf.adobe.com/), get distiller or acrobat, get the beta of office 2007... er.... i'm out... ooh wait or cutepdf.

Or download OpenOffice and install it. Open the Word document in OpenOffice and use the built-in PDF function to convert it.

I use PDFcreator

works well for me, you simply go to print your word document and choose pdfcreator from the printer list.

I don't think I'll be wating for Microsoft's crap. I use OpenOffice.

Or if you're in a situation where you can't install anything (like at my work) you can print it then scan it as a pdf.
