Word/Excel similar app for IOS?

Im planning on buying the mrs an ipad mini, but she edits a couple of spreadsheets (just for usual billing stuff). Is there office or something similar that will edit excel/word docs?

Pages and Numbers which are Apples own apps is what I would recommend.

I "think" there is a version of Office you can use but is subscription based. Not 100% sure as not something I have looked into but sure someone will be able to confirm
 
Try cloud on... it's free and you can do Excell/word/powerpoint files and save them direct to dropbox etc... (I personally use Pages/Numbers/Keynote etc... but for when something really won't work I open this up)

You can also connect CloudOn to a google drive or sky drive :)
 
The iWork suite has been great for my needs - I used Office all my life and moving to iWork has been a breeze. If you can wait - there are rumours iWork will become free Q3/4 this year. But it's cheap enough that if you can't wait, it's not a huge problem.

I use iworks (pages/numbers) for most of the personally stuff I do, the icloud is the bee's knees, allowing me to work on the fly on my imac, mbp, ipad and iphone. For work docs I do you m$ word/excel as there are some macros issues if I dont.

ms Office is rather cheap if your student.
