Word header is faded when printed

I'm using MS Word 2007. I know that when you're editing a document, the head becomes faded, but when I print the document, the header is still faded! I can confirm this by copy and pasting what's in the header into the document's contents.

Solutions?

Not possible from memory.

are you saying you have pasted the header in to the main body and that prints fine ?
