Hey,

I haven;t used Word in a while and have just got a need to create an invoice form / confirmation booking sheet. I ahve inserted a graphic and a few text boxes at the top. Now, I want to start to add a table underneath all this so I find the cursor and press enter a couple of times and my graphic and all the text boxes move down several lines.

I ahev had this in the past and never figured out how to solve it. I realise this is a newbie issue which I have just never solved before so some help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Neil

Don't really understand your problem at all.

Graphic and spaces make it sound related to "Wrap Text", perhaps try setting it to square?

Which version of Word? There is a different method to doing it on all versions, but basically you want to set the properties of your graphics/text boxes to align relative to page, not relative to paragraph.

If you turn on paragraphing ctrl+shift+8 I think, then select your graphic you should see it is anchored into the paragraphing (little anchor icon).

You can right click the image and tell it to not move it with the anchor. Or you can set the wrapping to behind/infront of text, which should ignore the anchor.

Hmm, not seen this anchor stuff before. I have got the anchor visible but no amount of right clicking seems to show any options for moving with or without it.

Even with the wrapping of the graphics and textboxes set to infront of text, when i click the normal text placement cursor at the top left-ish of the page and press enter a couple of times then they all still move down as well.

I have uploaded the file I need help with here. I have temporarily altered the text and graphics but it still doesn;t work as I wish it to. If you open this document and position your cursor to the right of the graphic and press return a couple of times, the rest fo the content at the top also moves down.

Documet can be downloaded from: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1509145/HELP.docx

Please can some help me to fix this as it's really really annoying me and I need this sorted so I can continue on with my project.

Thanks
Neil

Instead of pressing Return straight away, if you select CTRL+End and then start pressing Return you should be ok.

The stuff is anchored to the first paragraph mark, so when you start pressing Return it moves the stuff down. Selecting CTRL+End will get you past the first paragraph mark.

Hope that helps
