Word Mail Merge - conditional formatting help please

Hi All

I'm trying to put together a mail merge document to create some labels for an event and whilst most of it is fairly straight forward, I'm struggling on one part.

One of the lines of the label will be one of 6 values and needs to be colour coded depending on which value it is.

Fr example if the record is "One" it needs to be red, if it's "Two" it needs to be blue.

I've been reading up on conditional formatting in the field codes but I've never used them before and I'm a bit lost on how to do it.

Can anyone help me out with this please.

With a lot of googling I've found a couple of potential methods, one is to setup an IF field code with nested variables, the other is a simple formula but neither seem to work so I'm a bit stumped...

If anyone has any ideas they would be gratefully received.
