Word Maximise Issue

Whenever I maximise Microsoft Word 2003 (Small Business) it still shows part of my desktop at the top of the screen. Screeny:

How can I fix this?

I have selected MAXIMISE and checked that it opens in a maximised window as well.

All other programs open normally even Outlook, Publisher, Excel and Power Point!

try setting the bottom bar to its normal height
