Hi,
Anyone know how to fix the Word/Outlook missing letter while typing problem. I tried unchecking overtype (it was not checked but...). Now I sometimes get a Gray bar that makes it so I cannot read anything that’s been typed? This has been happening for over a year on my old PC and is also happening on my new PC. If I cannot fix this, I am dumping Office as its not fit for purpose.
Thanks.

Which version of office, have you ran a full online repair if it's one of the more modern versions?
Its office 365, I just ran a repair, it seems a bit better. But is still $£%$£. Really hate this! Only use office for outlook/word and for spell check. I am dumping this $£”$%. Any recommended replacement that is not java based.

Apparently it's a bug that still needs fixing. It's been happening to me for years. In emails and Word I will lose words/lines on screen although they are still in the document. Their return is triggered by more typing, scrolling or other interaction with the document. Sometimes the words visually glitch too.

It's annoying but it has become part of my life since Microsoft don't seem fussed about fixing it.

Think I will switch to libreoffice for word/excel and create my own email client as it is just too annoying.
